William Aaron Loffer
William A. Loffer, eldest son of J.W. and Sarah Loffer, and his family moved from Iowa to Neligh, Nebraska when he was 3 and to Buffalo Co, Nebraska when he was 15 years of age. He farmed in the Shelton-Gibbon area most of his life. He passed away at the Gibbon Rest Home November 8, 1963. When he was very young his parents moved to Shelton. In 1904 he ran a dairy in that community and in 1906 was united in marriage to Annabell Sober. In 1953 they moved to their present home in Gibbon, retiring from the farming and county maintainer work.
William married Annabell Sober, daughter of Judson Hall Sober and Eliza Sloan Wilson, on 21 Feb 1906 in Shelton, Buffalo, Nebraska. (Annabell Sober was born on 22 Sep 1885 in Shelton, Buffalo, Nebraska, died on 7 Aug 1971 in Gibbon, Buffalo, Nebraska, U.S. and was buried on 10 Aug 1971 in Shelton, Buffalo, Nebraska.) |
