Henry lived in Crowborough in 1841 and in Poundfield in 1851.
Henry Dadswell and Hannah Hobbs emigrated to the United States settling near Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. All their children emigrated with them except their eldest son, Henry Dadswell, Jr., who later joined them. Henry Dadswell, Jr. and his wife were in the United States long enough for two of their children to be born in Illinois before returning to England. Their daughter, Mary, returned to the United States and married William Henry Smith.
Henry married Hannah Hobbs on 24 Dec 1838 in Rotherfield, Sussex, England. (Hannah Hobbs was born in 1819 and died in Feb 1898 in Elgin, Illinois.)
