bullet  General Notes:

Magdalena and James moved from Pennsylvania to Iowa in 1855. They traveled in covered wagons pulled by oxen. No bridges spanned the mighty Mississippi River, so they paid to be ferried across the deep water. They farmed north of Marshalltown near her siblings Henry J. Bash and Maria Bash Coulter. Magdalena and James divorced and Magdalena married Daniel Hubbard. They settled in Valentine, Nebraska where they lived for nearly 29 years. According to family tradition, sisters Magdalena and Maria each had 11 children.
