Obituary

The Rev. John Esch, age 85, a retired Evangelical minister, died Monday at his home in Dempseytown, Venango Co., where burial took place Wednesday afternoon. He entered the ministry shortly after his discharge from the Civil War and served many charges, including pastorates in Somerset, Indiana and Cambria Counties. The Rev Mr. Esch's last charge was in Venango county, illness forcing him to retire a number of years ago.

The Rev. Mr. Esch was born in Indiana County, one of
11 children of the late Joseph and Sarah Esch. He was a widower and is survived by the following children. Eva, wife of Alfred Mark Titusville; Etta, wife of Judd Weber, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Dr. J.D. Esch, LaFarge Wisconsin and adopted daughter, Martha, wife of A.W.Wygant, Dempseytown with whom the Rev. Mr. Esch made his home.
