bullet  General Notes:

The Rev. Richard Booth was minister of Christ Lutheran Church in Beaver Falls. James Richard Lauffer Sr. was named after Richard Booth - "Dick".

Rev. Booth was known for his extensive work with people in need. He was always there to help. James Sr. Spent time in his early years learning life values based on Our LORD's teachings and had tried to carry these values through his life. Rev. Booth was taken by a heart attack at the early age of 51 but his teachings and life examples will impact people for generations to come.

A story was told by James F. Lauffer Jr., father of James R. Lauffer Sr.: Rev. Booth told Jim that his one concern was dying while ministering to a person in one of the local bars. He felt that this would not look good for a minister to die in a bar. Ironically, Rev. Booth died shortly after.
