George was an OTR Semi-Truck Driver for most of his life. He enjoyed telling stories of his trips across the country. While his health still permitted, he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Good News Baptist Church, of Plymouth, and loved to tell people of the saving grace of Jesus.

George married Living Wilhelm, daughter of Charles Daniel Wilhelm and Living Beam.
