Paul L. Koontz

Paul J. Koontz, 59, of Penn, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1993, at his residence. He was born May 8, 1934, in Penn, the son of the late Louis and Regina Hoover Koontz. He was employed by the Whitaker Metals of Glassport. He was a member of St. Boniface Church, Penn. He was a former president and member of the Penn Borough Council. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Gerald Koontz. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Good Koontz; one son, Michael of Penn; two daughters, Mrs. Dominick (Regina) Mattucci of Jeannette and Patricia Koontz of Penn; four grandchildren; two nephews; and a niece. Friends will be received at the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Boniface Church with the Rev. V. Donald Hall as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Hempfield Township.

Paul married Kathleen A. Good, daughter of Marion O. Good and Anna Marie Lux.
