Clarence M. Glass

  General Notes:

Clarence M. "Chick" Glass, 96, of Harrison City, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, in his home. He was born March 20, 1909, in Hastings, Cambria County, a son of the late Harry and Emma Hollen Glass. Prior to his retirement, he was self-employed as a refrigeration repairman. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Larimer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Glass, in 1988; seven brothers, Dolphus, Earl, Alvin, Elvis, Ellis, Kenneth and Cordie Glass; and four sisters, Bessie Lovell, Roxie Diehl, Belva Keller and Silva Glass. He is survived by a daughter, Darlene Glass, of Greensburg; a nephew, Laverne Lovell and wife Martha, of Fallingtimber, Pa.; and a friend, John Hines. Friends received from 11 a.m. until noon Wednesday, at which time funeral services will be held at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 15636, with the Rev. Ronald J. Geisler officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville.

Clarence married Mary Jane Wigle, daughter of John Chalmer Wigle and Mary Emma Hild. (Mary Jane Wigle was born on 17 Jul 1918 in Penn Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylania, died on 20 Mar 1993 in Forbes Regional Health Center, Monroeville, PA and was buried in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville, PA.)
